2. Scope
This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data when you use the App, our website and related services. It applies to users in the UK and worldwide, subject to applicable laws. “UK GDPR” refers to the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
3. Personal data we collect
- Account and profile data: name, email address, country or region, preferences such as units and handedness, handicap range and golf profile details you choose to provide.
- App usage and training data: practice session selections, club choices, ball counts, notes, completion status, settings, error reports and performance telemetry.
- Device and technical data: device identifiers, OS and app version, language, time zone, IP address, diagnostic logs and performance metrics.
- Support and communications: messages you send us and related metadata.
- Payments: purchases are handled by Apple App Store and Google Play. We receive limited information to reconcile purchases, such as transaction or subscription status, and do not store full payment card details.
4. Device permissions and platform APIs
We do not request or access your camera, microphone, photos or media, contacts, calendars, location or Bluetooth. If a future feature needs a permission, we will ask first and explain its purpose in the App.
5. General audience and age
The Service is suitable for a general audience. We do not include Parental Controls or Age Assurance features and do not require users to provide their age or date of birth. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data, contact us so we can address it.
6. Why we use your data
- Provide and operate the Service — performance of a contract.
- Customer support and service communications — performance of a contract and legitimate interests.
- Analytics, diagnostics and improvement — legitimate interests; consent where required.
- Security and fraud prevention — legitimate interests and legal obligation.
- Tax, accounting and legal compliance — legal obligation.
- Optional marketing — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
7. Sharing your data
We share personal data only as necessary with contracted service providers, Apple or Google for purchase validation, professional advisers under confidentiality, parties involved in a corporate transaction and authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data.
8. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the UK, and where relevant the EEA, we rely on legally recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and/or Standard Contractual Clauses, plus supplementary measures as appropriate.
9. Retention
- Account and profile data: for the life of your account and up to 24 months after closure, unless longer retention is required.
- Training data: while your account is active and up to 36 months thereafter. Aggregated or anonymised insights may be retained longer.
- Diagnostic logs: typically 12–24 months.
- Support communications: 24 months after resolution.
- Purchase validation data: as required for reconciliation and applicable law.
We periodically review and securely delete or anonymise data that is no longer needed.
10. Your rights
Subject to legal limits, you may access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; keep your device and login credentials safe and up to date.
12. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use strictly necessary, preference, analytics and, with consent where required, marketing technologies. This static website does not currently set analytics or marketing cookies. App SDK controls are available through your device or in-app settings where applicable.
13. Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites and services. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law or our practices. Material changes will be notified in the App or on our website. The date above shows the latest revision.
